Behind the scenes 2017

This post will be a little different.  Throughout weddings, my team and I have to take various light and compositions tests, as well as just general screwing around and behind the scenes photos.  These amuse me to no end.  I compile my favorites as the year goes on, and post them to my personal facebook page towards the end of the year.  This year, I decided I would share it with you as well!

Pam & Jon

Pam and Jon had such a great wedding!  So many of my friends were in attendance, in the wedding party, singing, and playing music!  There may have been a few times where I put my camera down and git the dance floor, myself.  Luckily, there's no photographic evidence of that. Pam and Jon also had their daughter in attendance and she was heavily featured, as you'll see, she's also adorable as hell!

Betsy & Fil - Fox Hollow Wedding

I frequently tell my clients that weather is the one thing we can't control on the wedding day, but no matter what, we'll make it work.  Betsy & Fil had a stunning November day for their ceremony and portraits.  I believe it hit 70.  I also happened to drive home from their wedding in a snow storm.  The Northeast is funny.    

Betsy and Fil were and absolute blast to shoot, and as you'll see, had a gorgeous wedding!

Best of 2017

Happy New Year!  

2017 was an absolutely incredible year.  I was fortunate enough to shoot weddings in 4 different states, 5 different countries, and 2 different continents.  From the very tip of Long Island in front of a lighthouse to a castle in Ireland, to the rolling hills & crowded streets of Tuscany and Florence, the beaches of Cancun and the rain forests of Costa Rica, and in some cases, people's backyards!  

As always, the people in front of my camera deserve the biggest thank you! Thank you for your trust and faith in me!  And thank you for being amazing people!  I got to photograph people who have been friends for years, and I got to photograph a lot of people I now consider friends.

There also needs to be a huge thank you to my team,  Garret Torres & Christina Meerloo, for consistently going above and beyond.  Also big thanks to Maria Sinoradzki, Drew Willingham & Monali Mehedia for stepping in as 2nd shooters and crushing! 

That about covers the written portion.  On to what you actually came to check out.  My favorite photos of 2017.  This was so hard to narrow down, but a 600 image blog post seemed excessive.

Aly & Jess

Alyson & Jess had a such a beautiful, emotion filled wedding day.  The weather wasn't ideal, but they toughed it out and had a wonderful wedding, regardless.  They embraced the situation and had an absolute blast!
