Happy Birthday Owen!

So, Friday, February 20th, was my friend Owen's 26th birthday. Owen and I have been friends since we were 5 years old, we went to kindergarten together. Through a strange set of events, we now live surprisingly close to each other. I met a girl from Midland Park, NJ and moved to the area to be with her. He met a girl from Fair Lawn, NJ and moved to the area to be with her. So we grew up 5 minutes from each other and now live about 20 minutes from each other, but about 4 hours from our home town.
Anyway, we went to Bowler City in Hackensack. Owen had some friends there that I didn't know, but we had a great time, had a couple drinks, and I schooled some people on bowling. I even broke 100 once!

Babysitting

So this most recent Friday, Meg and I went to her sister's house down in Union to babysit our nephew, Matty, which means she did most of the hard work and I kept her company and took a bunch of photos. It's hard to take bad photos of Matty, he is hands down one of the best looking kids I've ever seen. Here are some of the highlights from our day.

Oddness

So, I consider myself to be more versatile than "just" a wedding photographer. That may indeed be what I get paid to do, but photography in general is what draws me. And sometimes there are things that just SCREAM to have photos taken. This was one of those incidents. I happened to be driving through Glen Rock, NJ (very close to where I live) and I saw a house that had about 40 toy cars parked in the front lawn and lining the drive way. I had to stop and take some photos. I think some of them came out nicely. I am also very drawn to weirdness, and I think this definitely qualifies as weirdness. Thank you NJ for being a strange place
