Happy New Year

So, I've been seeing a lot of stuff around the photography world lately of people looking back on 2009.  People posting their favorite images, talking about their favorite this and their favorite that.  I'm not going to do that.  Instead, I'm going to look ahead.  Not to diminish what 2009 was, it was a great year.  But lets look ahead...  "To the Future, Conan?!"

What does 2010 hold for me?

Thousands upon thousands of great photos to take.  Tons of new people to meet, weddings to shoot, adventures to go on, trips to take, music to listen to, movies to see, insights to discover.  Putting some good stuff out into the universe (more on that when it is appropriate, but it's really good stuff)  and let's see here, I feel like I'm forgetting something...  oh yeah, the biggest thing of all.

I'm getting married this year!  HOLY SHIT!

Here's to a good year to come folks.

Home for the holidays... sort of

So, I've been a bit absent from posting for a couple weeks.  I appologize I have been fairly busy, ut I do have some cool stuff lined up.  Based on my shooting schedule, it became impossible to make it to my parent's house for Thanksgiving this year, which sucks, so I decided to head up there two weeks early. After all, who says you HAVE to celebrate Thanksgiving on Thanksgiving.  As always, when in upstat NY, I drvie around and shoot photos, so here are a few from my trip up there.  Expect another new post very shortly.

Infrared

I recently got my hands on an infrared digital camera... only for a couple days, but still, all sorts of fun.  Back in college I shot a few rolls of infrared film, but this was my first time using a digital infrared.  Now keep in mind, there is no photoshop trickery here, this is is a standard Nikon D70 with the sensor converted to infrared.  I have the camera till Thursday, so expect to see a few more of these.
