Best of 2011

It has reached that time, the time to look back upon 2011.  These are a collection of my favorite photos from the year, and not just wedding photos, although there are a ton in there, but there are also a good portion of personal photos, photos of my family, photos of my wife.  These photos definitely represent my entire year.    Strap in, because this is a long blog post, but, considering the staggering number of photos I took this year, I think I did a pretty damn good job narrowing it down.   There are some people I need to thank because this year and many of the photos would not have been possibly without them.  So a huge thank you goes out to Brad Ross, Caroline Ghetes, Brian and Charlie with The Bleu StudioZack DelauneShari DeAngelo, my entire family, my wife's entire family, and every person that was nice enough to step in front of my lens and let me take their photo.  Most importantly I would like to thank my wife, Meg,  I don't want to know where I would be without her... and she deserves a medal for her constant support and patience with me.

So, here's to 2011, and the way 2012 is looking, it's going to be even better...  even if I don't get to go back to Europe... but that wouldn't hurt.

Natalie & Eric - Hoboken Engagement Photographer

Natalie & Eric embody awesome.  They are two of the nicest people you could ever want to meet, and after spending about 2 minutes with them, you can tell that they are definitely in love and are absolutely perfect for each other.  They also have a great story about how they ended up together, that spans about 15 years.  We were originally supposed to shoot on a day that turned out to be horribly cold and rainy and Natalie definitely made the right decision in rescheduling, because that first day turned into the October snow storm in the north east.   The day we rescheduled for turned out to be great, and we had an awesome time walking around Hoboken.  I'm really having a hard time waiting for next season to start so I can get into these amazing weddings.  Till then, enjoy Natalie and Eric's engagement session

Kate & Matthew - New Jersey Engagement Photographer

It's always a huge compliment when a photographer or photography enthusiast hires you to shoot their wedding.  Matthew is a huge enthusiast.  Aside from that Kate and Matthew happen to be completely awesome.  They have found possibly the coolest, most unique wedding venue in NJ.  Unfortunately, you'll just have to wait to see it, just like I have to wait to photograph it.  Until then be content checking out their engagement session, it too, happens to be fantastic.  Enjoy.

Joie & Jhonny - Bridgeview Yacht Club - Long Island Wedding Photographer

I knew that this wedding was going to be amazing when Joie first contacted me.  She told me #1, she was friends with one of my previous clients, Sarah.  That would have been enough right there to tell me that this would be a great time.  But, there was more, Joie also happens to be a photographer, herself.  That gave me a little more creative leeway when shooting.  Joie & Jhonny's wedding did not disappoint.  Great people, great venue, great party, exactly what a wedding should be.   I would also like to thank the very talented Zack Delaune for 2nd shooting this with me.  Enjoy.

Courtney & Rob - NJ Engagement Photographer

To say that I'm excited about Courtney and Rob's wedding is an understatement.  They are very close friends of my wife and I, Courtney was in our wedding party, and my wife will be her maid of honor.  They are two of the most fun people you could want to meet, aside from that they are also troopers.  The only day we could shoot their E session was a cold, rainy and windy day.  So until March, when I get to shoot their wedding at the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens, enjoy their engagement photos.
