Mohonk Mountain House Wedding, New Paltz, NY - Kaleigh & Mark

Where to start with Kaleigh & Mark's wedding?  The whole thing took place at the Mohonk Mountain House in New Paltz, NY.  In my preparation for their wedding, I, of course, looked up their venue online.  The first picture I saw of it put my jaw on the floor.  I also immediately got REALLY excited.  The photos online hardly did it justice.  The Mohonk Mountain House is one of the most amazing locations I have ever been to, let alone been fortunate enough to photograph.  The only problem I had, was that Kaleigh & Mark didn't give me a week straight to shoot there, which I could have EASILY done.

The venue aside, Mark & Kaleigh's wedding exceeded all expectations I had for it as well.  They are incredibly warm, wonderful people and surrounded themselves with a small group f their closest friends and family.  I don't think there was a single person there without a giant grin all day. I get to say this a lot, and am very lucky to do so.  It's people and weddings like this that make me love what I do.  Enjoy.

American Hotel, Freehold, NJ Wedding - Matt & Kate

Are you ready for this?  Maybe you should sit down.  Already sitting?  Maybe you should stand up.  There is only one word that comes close to describing Matt & Kate's wedding...  EPIC!  From start to finish it was nothing but fun.  Everyone came ready to party and celebrate with Matt & Kate, and they certainly did.  There's nothing more I need to say, the photos say it all...  EPIC!

Maine! The way life should be.

I have been meaning to get to this for a while, but as wedding season is still in full swing, personal work gets pushed back.  Anyway,  a little over a month ago, Meg and I went to Maine for a few days, as we both needed a bit of a break from the hecticness that can be every day life.  She had been to Maine once before, I had never.  I had only heard that it was beautiful.  I have since found out that Maine is probably one of America's best kept secrets (or maybe I just haven't been paying enough attention)  But Oh My God, I LOVED Maine.   We stayed at a Bed & Breakfast in Freeport called the The James Place Inn, and if you ever happen to be going to Maine, I HIGHLY recommend you stay there.  Anyway, I think Portland may be the coolest city I have ever been to, and the people of Maine are INSANELY nice.  I could honestly go on for hours about how amazing everything was.  So, for now, I will just leave you with a few of the photos I took while I was there.  Expect more Maine photos in the future, because I will be going back there every chance I get.  Also, if you happen to be getting married in Maine, I implore you, please hire me, just so I have an excuse to go back.

Dumbo Brooklyn Wedding Photography - Rebar - Cindy & Nathan

When I sat down with Cindy & Nathan to discuss their wedding, I don't think it would be an exaggeration to say that I was salivating at their description.  Their wedding took place on the terraced steps of Pebble Beach on the East River, between the Brooklyn Bridge and Manhattan Bridge.  From there, they had a Trinidad and Tobago style Carnival march through Dumbo complete with a steel drummer.  Ending at Rebar, one of the most unique and awesome reception venues I have ever been to.  I must say their wedding did not disappoint, it was a visual, and cultural feast from start to finish.  As always, thank you to Zack Delaune for his 2nd shooting skills.  And also Thank you to the newest member of the Dennis Pike Photogrpahy team, Garret Torres.

Enjoy.
