Ashton & Warner - Outer Banks Wedding - Destination Wedding
Ashton and I go way back, at least a solid 9 years. I only met Warner about a month before the wedding, there was an instant and intense bro-mance. I was so honored to be able to shoot the wedding of such awesome people. Also, having been friends with Ashton so long, I expected their wedding to be nothing short of epic. It was. It took place in the Outer Banks in North Carolina, their ceremony right on the water, and reception a stones throw from the sound. The weather was amazing, the people were amazing, the wedding was amazing.
I'd also like to note that Warner and a good portion of his wedding party and guests are combat veterans. It doesn't take too many former special forces guys to make a wedding photographer feel like a huge wuss, there were a lot of them, so I pretty much felt like the biggest wuss ever. So, a huge thank you to Warner and all the men & women of the military for the sacrifices they are willing to make.
Enjoy!

I wanted to add a little context to the previous few photos. Clearly we're on a boat, but, the laughter and man in the water need some explanation. One of Warner's friend's was on the boat as well, he decided the best course of action would be to get naked and jump off the side of the boat while it was doing about 30 mph. This also answers the question that I frequently get asked... "what's the craziest thing you've ever seen at a wedding?" That.

Gina & Brian's wedding was just plain fun. Hard not to be a fun wedding when the favors are jars of home made moonshine. I was given a bottle, it was excellent. Gina & Brian's wedding started out very wet and overcast, but the weather cleared giving me possibly the best light I've ever had during an outdoor ceremony. Everything ran on time, there were zero issues. Just a big group of the nicest people ever getting together and having a blast!

You can't talk about Thea & David's wedding without first mentioning their amazing venue, a converted barn space in rural Maryland, one of the most unique places I have ever shot a wedding. It was perfectly fitting for them, they did everything their way and paid no attention to the conventions they didn't want to, for example, they got ready in the same room together, there was a portable petting zoo for the children in attendance (adults too, who doesn't like baby pigs?) They also gave me a ton of creative freedom, they just wanted awesome photos, and said I could do whatever I wanted to make that happen. This was seriously an amazing wedding, and it was a privilege to be a part of it. Also shout out to
