Costa Rica!

Meg and I are going to be traveling to Costa freakin Rica in May! we'll be going for about a week. We are incredibly excited, although I am a little worried Meg won't be coming back. This is a danger that you encounter when taking a zoologist specializing in herpetology (more specifically poison dart frogs) to the rain forest. I think I need to buy some extra memory cards, cause I have a feeling I'll be shooting somewhere in the neighborhood of about 3000-4000 photos. Can't wait

Cats

Meg is an animal lover, you'd have to be to work at a zoo. I too am an animal lover. So She and I recently adopted two cats from the Oakland, NJ animal shelter. They are great, both about a year old and they look a lot alike, although not litter mates. I strongly suggest going and adopting some animals yourself if you are able.

Personal Project

I have had this AWESOME idea. It's a personal project that I will be starting relatively soon. I've already laid some groundwork and have contacted some of the necessary people. I don't want to divulge too much about it, but I will say this: it involves some very interesting and unique people, it will also take place mostly in Connecticut. I'm excited. This is just a personal project, but who knows what may come of it. Stay tuned. This may take a month or so to get the ball rolling, maybe more, but once I start this, there are going to be some amazing images.

NYC

Meg's college room mate Kate came down for a visit, she had never been to the Statue of Liberty or Ellis Island, nor had Meg which is surprising since she is a northern NJ native. So, that's exactly what we did, after that endeavor, we walked around Manhattan for a couple hours then headed back to Jersey to eat some Cheesecake Factory in Hackensack. Not to worry though, we did stop for pizza and beer in Little Italy. Here are a few photos from the day

Upstate, NY

February 27th is my mom's birthday, so this year, my fiance and I drove the 4 and 1/2 hours up to Sterling, NY to visit and spend the weekend with my parents. On one of those days I drove around with Meg to show her my hometown. Now, you have to understand that Sterling and Fair Haven, NY are very boring places, especially in the winter. We went to the state park, which is a beach on Lake Ontario in the summer, but is deserted in the winter and onto Red Creek and Wolcott, two of the most depressing towns on the planet. Turns out, all these places are photographic gold mines. Enjoy!
