Glen Ridge Women's Club Wedding - Natalie & Eric

When people find out that I'm a wedding photographer, the first thing they often ask me is "do you like it?"  I generally respond with something along the lines of "Oh, I love it.  I get to be around awesome people on the happiest day of their lives.  I get to go to great parties, and I get to do what I love for a living."   Well, from now on I can keep it shorter, I can say "Oh, I love it..." then just show them Natalie & Eric's wedding, and say "... and this is why."

You could not want to meet two nicer, more genuine, happy, people.  Their wedding at the Glen Ridge Women's Club was pretty much perfect.  In fact, I can't think of anything that could have made it better.  Their wedding embodied everything I love about my job.  I truly cannot say enough good things about Natalie & Eric.  They truly treated me like family.  I'll shut up now and let the photos be the proof of how awesome, Natalie & Eric are... and how amazing their wedding was.  Also, a big thanks to Zack Deluane for helping me out.

Enjoy!

Bowling for Rhinos

As you  may or may not know, my wife, Meg, is a zoologist.  She is a member of her local AAZK (American Association of Zoo Keepers)  Each year, local AAZK chapters hold a fundraiser called "Bowling  for Rhinos"  Meg is heading up her chapters event this year.  The entire motivation behind the event is to raise awareness and money for the conservation of Rhinos.  Unfortunately, Rhinos are still widely hunted for their horns.  The rhinos are killed and the horn is literally ripped from their face.   I would like everyone who reads this to visit the Bowling for Rhinos information page and support this endeavor any way they can.   This is a national event, so even if you don't live in the North Jersey area, you can still participate and help.  I am contributing some photos that will be up for auction along side donations from other businesses, and organization.  You don't even have to attend if you want to make a donation.  So, again, please do anything you can to support this organization and their efforts to protect Rhinos.  If you need any further information, please contact me, and I will be happy to help.  Thank you for your support.

Also, please enjoy some of my Rhino photos.

Brooklyn Botanical Gardens Wedding - Courtney & Rob

Well, folks, it's that time.  Wedding season has started and it feels good.  Really excited to be back shooting.  This season could not have started better.  Courtney & Rob were married at the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens, and were lucky enough to have beautiful weather, which is a huge thing in NYC in mid March.  Courtney & Rob are very good friends of mine, Courtney was a bride's maid in my wedding and my wife, Meg, happened to be the Maid of Honor in their wedding.  I can't say enough about how much fun Courtney & Rob are, and also, how much fun their wedding was.  I will let the photos speak for themselves.  Also, a very big thank you to Zack Delaune for assisting me on this.

Enjoy!

I had to add this photo,  just to show that, yes, I can get down on the dance floor too

Sage Restaurant, Fair Lawn, NJ

Greetings, It's been a while.  I am a bad blogger.   But, I have news... all sorts of news.  First off regular blogging will commence again very soon.  Wedding season has officially started again, and it had an amazing start.  I will be sharing that in a few days.

But, back to today's order of business.  A few weeks ago I was contacted by the owners of the soon to be opened Sage Restaurant in Fair Lawn.  They needed some artwork for their walls, and were interested in some of my photos. Well, I was more than happy to oblige.  I took a ride down there, met with Lou & Rob, and checked out their space.  We figured some things out and two weeks later I was back with 11 photos to hang.  (Big thank you to my friend Owen for helping me with the installation)

Well, Sage officially opened on Friday, so if you happen to be in the North Jersey area, go to Fair Lawn and eat at Sage.  Their menu looks phenomenal, and I have eaten at one of Lou's other restaurants and can personally attest to the food being superb.  I expect nothing less out of Sage.  And while you're there, enjoy some artwork on the walls.  I'll give you a taste of what's up there, but if you want to see it all, you have to go there.

Best of 2011

It has reached that time, the time to look back upon 2011.  These are a collection of my favorite photos from the year, and not just wedding photos, although there are a ton in there, but there are also a good portion of personal photos, photos of my family, photos of my wife.  These photos definitely represent my entire year.    Strap in, because this is a long blog post, but, considering the staggering number of photos I took this year, I think I did a pretty damn good job narrowing it down.   There are some people I need to thank because this year and many of the photos would not have been possibly without them.  So a huge thank you goes out to Brad Ross, Caroline Ghetes, Brian and Charlie with The Bleu StudioZack DelauneShari DeAngelo, my entire family, my wife's entire family, and every person that was nice enough to step in front of my lens and let me take their photo.  Most importantly I would like to thank my wife, Meg,  I don't want to know where I would be without her... and she deserves a medal for her constant support and patience with me.

So, here's to 2011, and the way 2012 is looking, it's going to be even better...  even if I don't get to go back to Europe... but that wouldn't hurt.
